Following our suppliers decision to terminate agreements with 2 of largest telecom networks in Russia on Friday, we've been made aware of some minor connectivity issues and general poor performance to Russian based networks. While we understand this was a difficult decision to make, as the Russian public deserve a free and neutral connection to the outside world, we wholeheartedly support Cogent's decision to limit the surge of cyberattacks and propaganda originating from Russian networks.
This will not affect your day to day internet service, we have peers to other suppliers with smaller capacity links to Russia, which are very congestion at the moment. If you do use Russian based services, please expect a degraded service.
